Where are the Olympus software settings stored?

This article goes through where you can find the Olympus software settings for each version and install mode.

ODMS R7

ODMS standalone gives you two options of selecting how the user settings are saved.

Individual User Settings

ODMS stores the settings in each individual user appdata location, since each user may have different settings.

ODMS stores the setting in one location on the PC, since every user will share the same settings.

ODMS Client

ODMS workgroup will get the settings from the System Configuration Program database that is hosted on a server in the local network, and this can be found in the registry below.

The settings will then be saved locally in each user appdata location since each user may have different settings.

System Configuration Program

The SCP gives you two options of selecting how the user settings are stored.

Repository folder which is a shared location that the users will have access to retrieve the settings.

Repository Service which the users will not have direct access to the folder, but will communicate with the service instead to retrieve the settings.

DSS Player Standard

The DSS Player Standard software only stores the settings in each individual user appdata location.
