Standalone Installation (with MUL)
Under certain conditions, it is not always possible to deploy R5 using standard methods. There are occasions when the SCP and or LM cannot be used. For example:
- Unix / Linux based server
- Some Novell environments
- No authority to run applications on Server.
When this issue arises, we can use the following installation method:
- Download the latest version of DSS Player Pro R5
- Copy the DSS Pro R5 MSI and associated files into a shared folder on the network.
- Place the .dat file we provide you into the same shared folder as the MSI.
- Modify the path within this command to match the path of the MSI.
msiexec.exe /i E:\Package\DSSPlayer.msi /q SYSTEM=STANDALONE LICENSE=License.dat SETTING=INDIVIDUAL
- Run the command via your preferred method. For example: Logon Script or copy/paste into the Run Command.
- The application will then install silently.
