Configure for a mixed Windows & Mac environment
Sharing files – Mac and Windows
- Go to System Preferences > Sharing...
- Tick the File Sharing box and then click the Options... button.
- Then tick the Share files and folders using SMB (Windows) box. Once you have Done this, click on the “+” button to add the folder you would like to share.
- Select the folder, and click Add.
- You will now see the folder in the Shared Folders list, assign the appropriate permissions.
- Open up the DSS Player software. Click DSS Player > Preferences...
- Click on the download tab. Click on the “...” button, here you can browse to the shared folder where the software will add a new folder called Message.
- On the Windows PC, Run the IP address of the Mac...
- You will then be able to see the shared folder in an Explorer window
- You can then map to the shared folder from within Release 5...
- Once you have done this, you may be prompted with the following message:
- Click Yes.
- Finished.
