Using DirectRec with Mac
This guide will demonstrate basic operation of a DR-1000 / DR-2000 with Olympus DSS Player for Mac.

To set up a personalised Author ID connect your DR-1000/DR-2000 to your Mac and open DSS Player.

Click Device at the top of the screen and from the options list select Transfer Author ID...

Enter the preferred Author ID into the text box and click Transfer to update the DirectRec with the Author ID.

Now, to create a new recording, click the icon in the top left corner as shown in the image below.

The Direct Recording window will appear. At this stage you can use the DR-1000 / DR-2000 to control the recording, and other functions, for example, play, fast forward & rewind.

To complete a recording, click the red Close button to close the Direct Recording window and you will be prompted to to Save, Cancel or Don't Save.

Repeat the process to create another recording.
