The SDK's form part of the Integrator Resource Pack (IRP), designed as a complete resource for every level of integration. The IRP also contains the latest device firmware, access to software updates and other useful tools.

The IRP is designed as a complete resource for every level of integration. The IRP is available to download in one simple package wherever you are based. You will be automatically notified of new releases and any updates.

DSS and DSSPro SDK

Digital Speech Standard (.dss / .ds2), the digital speech recording standard was developed over 16 years ago. This speech standard offers outstanding audio quality for recorded voice, whilst maintaing a high compression rate for reduced file size.  The format also allows additional information, such as client / patient name, document type to be stored in the file header, further facilitating file organisation. The DSS Pro (.ds2) format supports 128 and 256 bit real time AES encryption to protect confidential dictations and make the format ideal for transferring securely.

The DSS and DSS Pro SDK is designed to be used in conjunction with either DSS Player Pro Release 5 or ODMS. This enables decryption, access to header information and playback of the DSS formats.

Native playback support is available in your software solution by entering into a redistributable license agreement with Olympus.

Device Manager SDK

Manages devices by notifying of connections / disconnections events, buttons events, allows the configuration of device's and reading of information. Supports all the current and last generation of mobile devices, fixed microphones and foot controls.

File Download SDK

The File Download SDK is provided as a subset of the Device Manager SDK and allows the download of DSS / DSS Pro files and the conversion into an PCM format (WAV). Two sample applications are provided, one demonstrating server side conversion using the Olympus client virtual drivers, the other a client side conversion.

Revisions Document

All software is subject to constant change and improvement. As a result SDK's must be periodically be updated to reflect these improvements and changes. In every release, Olympus provide updates of recent changes such as new features, additional support and bug fixes. As each new IRP release replaces the previous version, a revisions document is included in the IRP, detailing updates at a glance.

Device Firmware

Olympus periodically apply firmware upgrades to improve functionality. We include all the latest firmware for the current generation of devices.

Software and Updates

Full copies of Olympus software and relevant updates are made available.

Drivers

The Olympus SDK's provide support for integrated applications in virtual environments that use Citrix XenApp or Windows Terminal Service platforms. The client Virtual Driver's support communication between a client connected Olympus device and server application.

Utilities

Useful utilities are included in the IRP such as the ODCM (Device Customisation Manager), which allows the configuration of devices without the need for full device integration; and other tools like DSSClean which cleans your development and testing environments.
